Galway Bay FM Newsroom – One of the longest running festivals in the country, the annual Dunmore Festival, has been confirmed to continue this year after kicking off last night.

This year’s festival is the 48th and will feature all of its old favourites, but has also added other exciting events such as the Dunmore & District Vintage Club’s Cannonball, a Malin V Mizen Charity Tractor Run and an exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of the Canberra Military Bomber Crash in the field just outside Dunmore.

The committee is busy planning many more events for the annual Dunmore Festival, as well as new events and of course old favorites like our Bank Holiday Monday Sports Day, Costume Party and Fairy Door Workshop. No Dunmore festival would be complete without the traditional market day which returns to the square on Thursday 4th August.

The new website for the annual Dunmore Festival was also launched overnight. https://dunmorefestival.ie/ This resource not only provides information about the festival but also lots of other information including things to see and do around Dunmore.

So tell all your family and friends near and far to buckle up, get high, because all roads lead to Dunmore.

DA Festival is ready to take off from Friday July 29 to Sunday August 7, 2022.

The Dunmore Annual Festival Committee is always looking for members to join or volunteers to help out the week so if you can email [email protected]
