The Green Bay Packers and Festival Foods are scheduled to host the 15th annual Festival of Lights at Lambeau Field on Saturday, December 11.

The Packers again ask for help finding a tree. Anyone in Wisconsin or Upper Peninsula Michigan who owns a 40- to 50-foot evergreen tree and wishes to donate it to the event is invited to submit a proposal, in 100 words or less, explaining why their tree should. be used for the festival. lights and be displayed at Lambeau Field during the holiday season. Proposals must include a photo of the tree and can be submitted until Wednesday, November 17.

Proposals and photos can be submitted for review online at packers.com/fans/festival-of-lights.

The Packers will organize the harvest and transport of the tree to Lambeau Field on Monday, December 6. The owner of the selected tree will receive four tickets to the Packers-Vikings match on January 2, 2022.

Although the event did not take place last year due to the pandemic, in 2019 the selected tree was submitted by Duane and Judy Fritz from Green Bay, who donated their blue spruce. In recognition of providing the tree for the event, they received four tickets to the 2019 Packers-Bears game.

The family-themed event, free to the public, will take place in the Lambeau Field Atrium and will include cookie decorating, holiday movies and cartoons, holiday card making, party sessions. photos with Santa and local high school choirs playing holiday music.

Later, the event will move to Harlan Plaza for the formal lighting of the tree.

Volunteers will also be on hand during the event to collect toys and donations for Toys for Tots. Families participating in the Festival of Lights are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys to help families in need this holiday season.
